La vitamina A

La Vitamina A – conosciuta anche come retinolo – è una vitamina liposolubile, una tipologia di vitamine che il fegato è in grado di accumulare e rilasciare al bisogno, garantendo il buon funzionamento del nostro organismo (con particolari benefici sul sistema immunitario e quello nervoso).

La vitamina A svolge molte funzioni fondamentali per il nostro organismo:

  • contribuisce alla normale funzione del sistema immunitario;
  • agevola la guarigione delle ferite;
  • agevola la crescita e rafforza le ossa e i denti;
  • mantiene la capacità visiva normale mantenendo in buono stato la cornea;
  • mantiene la pelle sana e protetta e contrasta la formazione di acne;
  • nutre le cellule epiteliali;
  • mantiene le membrane delle mucose normali;
  • favorisce la maturazione sessuale e mantiene la fertilità in età adulta, migliorando il funzionamento del sistema testicolare e ovarico;
  • agevola il metabolismo del ferro;
  • interviene nel processo di specializzazione delle cellule

Inoltre ha una forte azione antiossidante in grado di:

  • combattere i radicali liberi;
  • proteggere il sistema respiratorio e cardiovascolare;
  • contrastare i danni provocati dal fumo e dai gas inquinanti;
  • ridurre lo sviluppo di tumori (in particolare quelli alla prostata).

Ma quali sono i sintomi provocati dalle carenze in vitamina A?

  • Assenza di lacrimazione e occhi infiammati
  • Diminuzione della vista notturna
  • Pelle e mucose secche
  • Diarrea
  • Diminuzione della resistenza alle infezioni
  • Perdita dell’olfatto
  • Ritardo nella crescita

La Vitamina A è presente in moltissimi alimenti, sia vegetali (es. carote, pomodori, arance, anguria…) che animali (pesce e crostacei, latte e derivati, fegato, uova…), ma essendo una vitamina MOLTO SENSIBILE al calore, tende a perdere molte delle sue proprietà con la cottura degli alimenti; per questo è sempre consigliabile (almeno per frutta e verdura) il consumo da crudo. Inoltre, alimenti come caffe, alcolici, tabacco (così come gli antibiotici), se assunti insieme alla Vitamina A ne annullano completamente l’efficacia.

La nostra vita moderna porta spesso ad una alimentazione disequilibrata.
A questo si aggiunge che l’agricoltura industriale produce alimenti poveri di elementi nutritivi e le medicine in più provocano l’alterazione cronica o acuta dell’equilibrio della flora batterica che agisce sull’assorbimento delle vitamine e dei minerali.
L’alcool, il caffè e il tabacco, uniti a stress, zucchero, pillola contraccettiva, antibiotici, chemioterapia anti tumorale sono tutti nemici delle vitamine e nella maggior parte dei casi ne annullano gli effetti. Inoltre, il deficit nutrizionale si accentua con l’età.

Ne consegue l’apparizione di carenze più o meno importanti nell’insieme della popolazione (OMS 1985) che portano ai sintomi e alle problematiche elencate in precedenza.

Ingredienti

Olio di fegato di merluzzo (pesce); maltodestrine; betacarotene, capsula: gelatina alimentare; antiagglomerante: sali di magnesio degli acidi grassi.

Consigli di utilizzo

Si consiglia l’assunzione di una capsula al giorno.
Si può assumere DELTA A durante o a fine pasto (la presenza di grassi favorisce l’assorbimento del Betacarotene).
É consigliabile l‘associazione della vitamina A alla vitamina E e alla vitamina C (DELTA E e DELTA C PLUS).

È consigliabile prendere la vitamina A in maniera continuativa per beneficiare dell’azione preventiva come dimostrato dai lavori scientifici.

Avvertenze

Questo integratore essendo a base di Vitamina A naturale, non interferisce con nessun tipo di farmaco.
Può essere assunto anche dai bambini a partire da anni 6, dagli anziani e dalle donne in gravidanza.
È sconsigliabile assumere questo integratore solo in caso di insufficienza epatica grave e cirro.
